iForce – How we helped a leading logistics company improve its efficiency
Working with some of the UK’s biggest brands, iForce offers multi-disciplinary solutions for retailers. Providing logistics, order fulfillment and warehouse management, to name but a few of the
services on offer. Formed in 1997, iForce has over 20 years experience and over 760 permanent employees in the UK.
Having used a paper-based timesheet system for a long time, iForce required a new Time & Attendance (T&A) system. Whilst on paper this sounded very straightforward, iForce needed a system
that could cope with seasonal staff variances. During the busiest time of year (November to January), employee numbers swell from 650 to over 2000 to work the Christmas period.
Operating a number of sites across the UK, iForce required a user-friendly and robust method to capture employee clocking times, that could easily be rolled out to all employees.
“ The Solution is used at each iForce site, as well as a tool for ASH reporting and a head count for the fire evacuation proceedure…
The excellent working functionality teamed with an ability to customise and grow with our needs within a competitive price bracket made the Intelligent solution an ideal fit for iForce”
iForce implemented three core products from the Intelligent range; iTime, iHr & iAccess. Working in conjunction with each other, from a single database and sign-on portal, the systems manage time and attendance, personnel details and access control for all employees at different sites.
With the systems collating live data, iForce now has the ability to easily run daily, weekly and monthly reports to check on overtime levels, banked hours and holiday reports. iForce has also been able to use iTime to identify dips in output across the business, by comparing the number of hours worked to the output produced. This has been critical for the business at peak times of year, and for scheduling the correct number of staff to cover shifts at it’s busiest periods.
- Greater visibility of hours worked and absence levels
- Identification of drops in output
- Allowed for the introduction of Banked Hours
- Reduced wage bill via accurate data collection
- User-friendly tool to handle uplifts in staff at peak times
